FAQ
What are binaural beats?
Binaural beats are specially engineered sounds that are scientifically proven to affect brain wave patterns to induce positive effects. This includes heightened focus, expanded creativity, greater problem-solving capabilities, better pain control, and an enhanced learning capacity. This discovery was made in 1839 by physicist Heinrich Wilhelm Dove, and was later supported by the studies of Robert Monroe, founder of the Monroe Institute.
The binaural beat effect is the result of two slightly different audio waves being heard separately by the left and right ear (such as in a pair of headphones) in a manner that encourages the neurophysiology to generate a specific unified brain wave pattern.
How are binaural beats made?
The human brain has five different types of waves which all are associated with different mind states. If the difference between the two audio waves is less than 40 hertz it will entrain the brain to ease into one of these five synchronized states. For example: If you have two audio waves, one at 340 hertz and one at 344 hertz, the difference between the waves is 4 hertz. When the brain synchronizes the information between the two pieces of information it will slip into a Delta wave state which oscillates at a frequency of 4 hertz.
What are the benefits of audio meditaiton?
Hemisphere synchronization (from binaural beats) has been evidenced to positively impact a whole variety of emotional, spiritual and mental states. Each brain wave has a specific area of impact:Frequency range Name: Usually associated with
> 40 Hz Gamma waves - Higher mental activity, including perception, problem solving, breakthroughs and consciousness
13–40 Hz Beta waves - Active, busy or focused thinking and concentration, arousal, cognition, memory
7–13 Hz Alpha waves - Deep relaxation (while awake), pre-sleep and pre-awake drowsiness
4–7 Hz Theta waves - Dreams, deep meditation, REM sleep, astral projection
< 4 Hz Delta waves - Deep dreamless sleep, loss of body awareness
Specific binaural beat patterns can modify your experience and feelings as you see fit, and even replicate natural cycles in the human brain (like sleep or concentration). Binaural beats are perfect for augmenting any day to-day experience with either enhances alertness and concentration on one end, or increased relaxation and sleep on the other.
What is the effect of our programs on consciousness?
Binaural beats have long been associated with studies in consciousness and consciousness modulation in both clinical and informal studies. The theta and delta brain waves have especially been linked to meditation and out of body experiences.
Meditation, guided visualization, self empowerment, astral projection, positive re-enforcement, remote viewing and lucid dreaming have all been reported and sought after via the use of binaural technologies.
Are these audio programs habit forming?
No, absolutely not, you may not want to stop listening but there are no physiological mechanisms which could make a human addicted to binaural beats. Can I listen to audio meditations on my mp3 player/iPod?
Certainly, just download the mp3 file from our website or from any of the professional binaural beat websites and you can easily load the audio onto a data CD or directly into your portable MP3 player. Are there any known adverse affects for re-occurring audio meditaion use?
There are no known or clinically evidenced potential negative ramifications associated with occasional or heavy binaural beat utilization. What is the best time to listen to our audio programs?

It has been said that by changing the predominant brain wave frequency of the brain one may feel any number of effects including:
- Stress reduction
- Sleepiness
- Change in consciousness
- Feeling of "oneness"
- Detached Awareness
- Health improvements
- Increased memory functioning
- Increased focus
- Increased energy flow
- Increased creativity
- Increased intuitive knowledge
